Meghan Markle Hosts Netflix Q&A with Friend and Director Misan Harriman

The Duchess of Sussex made a rare public appearance last month, hosting a Q&A session with her friend and director Misan Harriman for his Netflix short film "The After".

The event, which was held at a private residence in Montecito, California, on November 15, was part of the LA Tastemakers series hosted by Netflix. The film, which stars and is produced by David Oyelowo, follows a fictional rideshare driver who witnesses a life-changing event.

Meghan Markle, who has a multi-year deal with Netflix along with her husband Prince Harry, looked elegant in a monochromatic brown outfit, consisting of a chocolate blazer and a matching turtleneck dress. She accessorized with gold hoop earrings and several rings, including a diamond bracelet gifted by her father-in-law Prince Charles.

The former actress, who is a close friend of Harriman, moderated the discussion with the director and Oyelowo, praising the film as "beautiful" and "powerful". Harriman, who is a renowned photographer and the founder of What We See, thanked the duchess for her support and friendship.

"It was extra special to have her and so many of my film idols watch this film. Thank you for coming to all the guests and @netflix for hosting," he wrote on Instagram, sharing several photos from the event.

The event took place almost a year after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's explosive documentary "Megxit: The Final Chapter", which premiered on Netflix in January 2023. The documentary, which was produced by the couple's Archewell Productions, revealed the reasons behind their decision to step back from royal duties and move to the US.

The documentary also addressed the controversies surrounding their relationship with the royal family, the media, and the public, as well as their plans for the future. The documentary sparked a lot of reactions, both positive and negative, from viewers and critics.

Since then, the couple has been focusing on their philanthropic and creative endeavors, as well as raising their two children, Archie and Lilibet. They have also made occasional appearances at various events, such as the Global Citizen Live concert in September and the Variety Gala in November.
