HipHopDX has announced the nominees for the Best Rap & Hip Hop Producers of 2023. The HipHopDX staff took into consideration moderation, timing, and restraint while shortlisting this year's most effective studio chefs. The Alchemist, Metro Boomin, and Hit-Boy have made it back on the nominees list as they continue soundtracking the culture, while BNYX and Conductor Williams join the fold this year with a fresh new identity that tastefully represents the past, present, and future. The nominees are listed in alphabetical order:

BNYX, Conductor Williams, Hit-Boy, Metro Boomin, and The Alchemist. Emerging from the Philadelphia collective Working on Dying, BNYX has been on quite the cosmic high this past year, having landed a string of commercial hits for some of the biggest names in the industry. Back in 2017, the Haitian-American beatmaker was forced to drop out of college and work at an AT&T store in order to stabilize his monetary struggles. Around that time, he began producing for his friends and eventually caught the attention of Working on Dying's Oogie Mane. Conductor Williams, on the other hand, is a producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with artists such as J. Cole, SZA, and Anderson .Paak. He has also produced music for films and TV shows. Hit-Boy, who has worked with artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Beyoncé, has been nominated for his work on Nas' album "King's Disease II". Metro Boomin, who has worked with artists such as Drake, Future, and Travis Scott, has been nominated for his work on Lil Nas X's album "Montero". The Alchemist, who has worked with artists such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Freddie Gibbs, has been nominated for his work on Boldy James' album "Real Bad Boldy". Congratulations to all the nominees! ¹
