Waiian, Alisson Shore, Rude-α, ¥uk-B & Tanayu Share Collaborative Single ‘Love Live Life’

Waiian, Alisson Shore, Rude-α, ¥uk-B & Tanayu have released their collaborative single "Love Live Life" on September 15, 2023. The single release was the conclusion to the earlier announced "Our New Songlines 2023," a multi-disciplinary effort that brings together like-minded artists from the Asian region in their bid towards "weaving new music, using their imagination as a source of inspiration, while searching for a way to hope for the future." The song was inspired by the theme of Songlines, known to be the invisible paths that have been passed down among the indigenous Aboriginal people of Australia as a guide towards one’s journey into the new world. The five artists hail from the three host cities of this year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup:

Koza (Japan), Manila (Philippines), and Jakarta (Indonesia). The project was initiated in the fall of 2022, with most of the songwriting process taking place remotely. Filipino R&B artist Colt, a long-time collaborator of Alisson Shore, produced the beat, with the song lyrics written in Japanese, Uchinaguchi (Okinawan dialect), English, Tagalog, and Javanese. The song was performed live for the first time on August 26, 2023, at Music Town Oto-Ichiba in Koza, Okinawa, Japan, as part of the Basketball World Cup festivities. The event brought together all artists involved in the project, where they also performed their respective solo projects alongside Filipino producers Colt and RuiijiKun and Indonesian musician Jeslyn Juniata. ¹
