Young Buck, the former G-Unit member, has found a potential buyer for his music catalog, but he still needs a judge's approval to finalize the deal.

According to HipHopDX, the rapper's bankruptcy trustee, Erica Johnson, filed a motion on Friday (December 7) to sell Buck's entire catalog, including his ASCAP and Universal rights, to Middleton Open Season Partners I LLC for $730,000.

The proposed sale would allow Buck to pay off all his creditors, including his child support, his phone bill, and two tax liens totaling nearly $200,000. It would also free him from any claims by his former label boss, 50 Cent, who is not listed as a creditor in the documents.

Buck would still be able to receive royalty payments from Universal for his compositions, but he would lose the ownership of his works. The trustee argued that the sale is in the best interest of the estate and the creditors, and that no other buyers have expressed interest in the catalog.

Buck's lawyers have until December 28 to respond to the motion and raise any objections. If they do, a hearing will be held on January 9, 2024, to decide the matter. The sale could take weeks to be approved by the judge and close the bankruptcy case.

Buck filed for bankruptcy in 2020, after 50 Cent allegedly blocked him from releasing new music and sued him for breach of contract. Buck claimed that he owed 50 Cent $300,000 for a loan, but 50 Cent disputed the amount and demanded $2 million.

Buck said that he tried to settle the dispute with 50 Cent, but he was not interested in a business conversation. Buck said that he wanted to move on with his life and continue making music for his fans.

"I'm definitely not looking to go down a whole long drawn-out court situation, things like that, when it could all get handled and be done on a business level if we had that conversation to get that clarity," Buck said. "He could get whatever he's looking for from me, I can get what I'm needing from him. I can move on with my life, and continue feeding my kids."

Buck has been releasing music independently, despite the legal hurdles. He recently dropped a mixtape called Back On My Buck Shit Vol. 3, which features collaborations with Drumma Boy, Boosie Badazz, and Sada Baby.
