Nicki Minaj is back with some new music, and she has brought along one of the hottest rappers in the game, Future. The two stars have collaborated on a new song called “Press Play”, which is featured on the latest edition of Minaj’s Pink Friday 2LP.
The song, produced by ATL Jacob, is a trap-infused banger that showcases the chemistry and charisma of the duo. Minaj delivers her signature witty and confident bars, while Future adds his melodic and catchy hooks. The song is a celebration of their success and status in the industry, as they rap about their money, cars, and jewelry.
“Press Play” is part of the “Gag City PLUTO Edition” of Minaj’s Pink Friday 2LP, which was released on Friday. The edition includes four new songs, as well as remixes and features from other artists such as Lil Wayne, Drake, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion. The original Pink Friday 2LP, which came out in November 2023, was Minaj’s sixth studio album and her first since 2018’s Queen.
Minaj and Future have previously worked together on songs such as “You Da Baddest”, “Transformer”, and “Sir”. They also co-headlined the “NickiHndrxx Tour” in 2018, which spanned across North America and Europe.
