Grammy-winning producer Hit-Boy has given his stamp of approval to the new trailer for the upcoming ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ spin-off TV series, ‘Knuckles.’

The trailer, which premiered on February 8, 2023, features the iconic red echidna Knuckles as the main protagonist, along with other familiar characters from the ‘Sonic’ franchise. The trailer also showcases the action-packed and humorous tone of the series, as well as the surprising song choice of Crime Mob’s 2004 crunk anthem, “Knuck If You Buck.”

Hit-Boy, who produced Nas’ acclaimed album ‘King’s Disease,’ took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his astonishment and admiration for the trailer’s soundtrack, writing: “knuck if you buck in the trailer is hard lol.”

The producer, who has also worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake, is known for his eclectic and versatile musical taste and style. His tweet quickly garnered thousands of likes and retweets from fans who agreed with his opinion.

Crime Mob, the Atlanta-based rap group behind “Knuck If You Buck,” also reacted to the trailer on their official X account, writing: “We are honored and excited to be part of this amazing project. Thank you @SonicTV for choosing our song. Knuckles is the real MVP.”

‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ spin-off TV series, ‘Knuckles,’ is set to premiere on Netflix in late 2023. The series is a follow-up to the successful ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ movie, which was released in 2020 and starred Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski. The movie grossed over $300 million worldwide and received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.

The spin-off series will focus on Knuckles’ adventures and origins, as well as his relationship with Sonic and other characters. The voice cast for the series has not been announced yet, but fans are hoping that some of the original actors from the movie will reprise their roles.
