Amsterdam, May 31, 2024— Nicki Minaj's much-anticipated concert at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, scheduled for June 2, has been cancelled following her recent arrest for allegedly carrying drugs. The announcement was made by Dutch promoter Mojo, who confirmed the cancellation on their website, stating, "Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place. Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale."

The rapper, who was on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, faced legal troubles last week when she was arrested at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The National Police Corps reported that a 41-year-old woman, believed to be Minaj, was detained for attempting to transport soft drugs from Amsterdam to Manchester. She was released on Saturday, with authorities stating that she would need to pay a fine, which will be determined by the Public Prosecution Service.

Minaj's arrest led to the cancellation of her show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on May 25. Fans were initially allowed into the venue, only to be informed later that the concert was postponed. Live Nation, the event organizer, expressed their disappointment, stating, "Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible. We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused."

Nicki Minaj took to social media to deny the allegations and shared her frustration over the incident. In an Instagram Live session, she detailed her experience, claiming that airport security found weed and seized her bags without her consent. She also posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, "So they succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight."

The artist has yet to comment on the latest cancellation. Fans who purchased tickets for the Amsterdam concert are advised to seek refunds from the point of sale.
