Former GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have finally broken their silence about their relationship, which made headlines last year when they were photographed holding hands while both being married to other people.
The couple, who have since left ABC News, launched their own podcast, "Amy & T.J.", on Tuesday, where they discussed their romance, their divorces, and their future plans.
Robach and Holmes said they were both in the process of ending their marriages when they were "outed" by a publication in November 2022. Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue, while Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig.
They both insisted that they did not cheat on their spouses, but admitted that they could have handled the situation better. They said they had not told their families and children about their new relationship when the photos were published, which caused a lot of pain and confusion.
They also revealed that they had received a lot of backlash and criticism from the public and the media, which affected their mental health and their careers. They said they decided to leave ABC News because they felt they were not supported by the network and they wanted to pursue their own projects.
The couple said they are now in a happy and healthy place, and they are looking forward to sharing their stories and opinions on their podcast. They also said they are not ruling out the possibility of getting married again, but they are not in a rush.
"We are in love, we are happy, we are committed to each other, and we are enjoying every moment of it," Holmes said.
Robach added, "We are not afraid of the future, we are excited about it. We have learned a lot from our past, and we are ready to move forward with our present.".
