Halle Bailey, the singer and actress who will star as Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, was spotted sitting courtside with rapper DDG at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns game on Monday night.
The pair looked cozy and comfortable as they watched the game, which the Lakers won 108-104. Bailey wore a black crop top and jeans, while DDG sported a white hoodie and a Lakers cap.
However, some fans noticed that Bailey's stomach looked slightly bulging, and speculated that she might be pregnant with DDG's child. The rumors quickly spread on social media, with some congratulating the couple and others expressing shock and disbelief.
Bailey, who is also one half of the Grammy-nominated duo Chloe x Halle, seemingly responded to the pregnancy gossip by posting some old bikini photos on her Instagram story. The photos showed her flaunting her flat abs and curves in a blue two-piece swimsuit. She captioned one of the photos with a simple "hi".
Bailey and DDG have not officially confirmed their relationship status, but they have been linked since October, when they were seen holding hands at a Halloween party. They have also appeared in each other's YouTube videos and exchanged flirty comments on social media.
Bailey, 22, is set to make her big-screen debut as the iconic mermaid princess in Disney's The Little Mermaid, which is expected to be released in 2023. She will also lend her voice to the soundtrack of the film, which will feature songs from the original animated movie as well as new ones composed by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
DDG, 24, is a rapper and YouTube star who has amassed over 10 million subscribers across his channels. He is known for his songs such as "Moonwalking in Calabasas", "Money Long" and "Rule #1". He recently signed a record deal with Epic Records and released his debut album Die 4 Respect in March.
