Victoria Monét on How AI Will Change Hip-Hop

 Victoria Monét, a 34-year-old artist, recently shared her thoughts on how artificial intelligence (AI) could change hip-hop. She believes that AI will have a significant impact on the industry, similar to how autotune changed some of hip-hop. She also thinks that AI could be used to expedite production processes, such as making other artist features "easier." However, she doesn't think it's all bad. While there may be "some AI hip-hop" artists, she believes that nothing can beat good old-fashioned, raw human creativity. "Human is king," she said.

In the future, artists may start using AI for their advantage versus feeling competitive with it. For example, they could use it to reduce the amount of physical work they have to do and just sit in their yacht. However, Victoria Monét still believes that human creativity is irreplaceable.

It's worth noting that social media has already seen how powerful AI can be. In April, generated versions of favorite artists flooded the web. A "collab" between Drake and The Weeknd created by TikTok user ghostwriter977 was one such example.
